ITAC is the Industry Technical Advisory Committee for oil spill response. ITAC members are drawn from the response community of the oil industry, response organisations and other parties that have oil pollution response and preparedness as their principal goal.

The purpose of ITAC is to act as a focal point for technical issues and as a forum for information exchange in the areas of preparedness, oil spill response operations, response technology, and response training. This role is undertaken on behalf of the response community and the oil company shareholders of the industry owned response organisations.
